Bath Time Beauty

Avery loves bath time ... and I couldn't resist taking these pics today :)

She decided the shovel would be great for dumping water on me ...

The first look is me telling her "no" ... the second look is HER telling me "no"

SO SWEET!

FOURTH Fun!

Thanks D&D for having us over! We had a blast! :)
Yes – those are cheeto crumbs in the corners of his mouth.
Couldn't just take a break to eat. He LOVED swimming!

Dayli & Jackson … He adores her and surprisingly so …
with the age difference and all … she likes her little buddy
just as much! :)

Ave loves to sit in chairs so when she took a break from crawling
To the pool … she lounged in the chairs.
I know since I’m her mom, I’m totally biased … but even with the icing,
Ketchup, and cheeto crumbs all over her face … isn’t she absolutely
BBBBEEEAAAUUTTTTIIIFFFFUUULLLL???!!! :)

Jacob and Lance taking a short break from the intense watermelon seed spitting contest to
chase Avery from crawling to the pool.

Thanks Dari for taking these pics! I didn't even know you were taking them - but I love them!

I go inside to get a diaper and wipes and come back outside and Lance & Drew decide ...
they can handle it themselves.

Heather helping Jackson and Dayli

You can't tell by this cute picture
but Jackson was scared to death of the fireworks!

Avery loved watching the fireworks ... the guys did an awesome jobs putting the neighbors to shame in our unspoken war. LOL. What a blast. :)

GALVESTON

Jackson and Nana at the beach :)

Avery loved playing in the sand! ... and
eating some.

Jackson decided he was done with his hamburger so he fed it to the seaguls!

So Sweet!

Now I can't say it's like this 100% of the time of course, but I have been so impressed with how Jackson loves on his sister. I picked him up from school last week and the teachers commented on how sweet he is. They said they thought it was precious how he was in the dramatic play center being the "daddy" to the babies. He is an awesome big brother and will make a great husband one day (Loooonnnnngggg from now!! ) So proud of him!

Fall Fun

I had so much fun this year getting to pick out two costumes! Avery Lee was a beautiful Monarch butterfly (yes, I'm partial) ... She wasn't real sure what was going on and Jackson really wanted to know why Avery was all of the sudden a butterfly.

Jackson was a firefighter. NOT a fireman. After an informal meeting with his pre-k teacher ... I learned that Jackson had to be moved to another class the day the fighter'men' came to his school. He was terrified before he ever even saw them ... turns out ... a fire'MAN' is the hibachi guy at Japanese restaurants which he is deathly afraid of ... a firefighter is pictured above :)

Yikes, IKE! ... not so happy birthday Lance!

Well we survived IKE. We were without electricity for 5 days and still dont have both phone lines back ... but we had no damage to our house whatsoever!!
I think we were most upset about a dead tree we lost that "our" bald eagle would fly and land on every night ... we haven't seen him since we lost that tree. BUMMER!
Lance and I appreciate everyone's prayers as well as the sweet calls and texts we got checking on us. It all happened on Lance's birthday!
Here's a pic of the kids during our time! :)

I love Jackson's face here. Last Sunday - Daddy was swinging him and Jackson was leaning back a little too far and flipped off backwards off the retaining wall where our swing set is ... needless to say, many tears, ace bandages, and x-rays later - he has his first broken arm and cast. Poor Jackson. When I ask him to try and move it a certain way - he'll do it with the uninjured arm and say "there. I did it."
